Our favorite places to stay in Fiji.
Moodys of Namena is one
of our all-time favorites. This small ecoresort run by Joan and Tom Moody is
nestled into the island of Namenalala situated in one of Fiji's best dive sites
... the Namena lagoon. The island hosts a breeding population of red-footed
boobies and in November and December turtles come ashore to nest. To e-mail
Moodys (they don't yet have a website), click

Vatulele
Island Resort is quite magnificent. Exclusive and upmarket but worth every
cent. The resort is "eco-friendly", no heavy machinery was used in its building
and connecting paths wend their way through the trees.
Local villagers staff the resort and several are on its Board of Directors.
The island is renowned for the quality of its masi (bark cloth) and has an interesting
red prawn in its limestone caverns. The diving is excellent.
