We intend sending out an irregular e-mail newsletter to our clientele. If you wish to be put on our mailing list please send us an e-mail (click on send e-mail below). The letter will include information about new titles, reviews and tidbits of information about the Pacific Island Books region. Our first ever newsletter is reproduced below.

It's probably been a very long time since you've heard from us, but that's because we've been SO busy picking up new publishers from "downunder" and adding new titles to our website. I keep on waiting to write - until our website is up-to-date. But that time doesn't ever seem to happen, so I'm writing now anyway.

Check out our website for many new titles, from and about Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific. We've got more travel books than you can imagine - almost all of the available travel guides.

There are many new titles from the Institute of Pacific Studies in Fiji which are on the website.

We have new titles from IPL/Transpress in New Zealand on Trains, Music, Murder stories and some interesting titles like Shift Your But. These titles aren't on our website yet, but if you're interested, we can send you a word document with the new titles.

We also have new titles from Shoal Bay Press in New Zealand with titles about fishing, crafts, wild walks and 4W driving in New Zealand and more.

We have a story by Rudyard Kipling written when he was in New Zealand that was never published before in book form and a story about a young lady growing up in strife-torn British Guiana, now Guyana, from Mallinson Rendell Publishers.

New books on Antarctica, including the National Geographic book on Shackleton. And new titles about Midway Atoll.

If you're interested in some FREE reading materials on travel, just mention that you would like the Rough Guide News offering articles and information on various places around the world. And it wouldn't be the start of a good new year without offering some SALE items. The following titles will be offered at HALF PRICE, that's a discount of 50%!!!!

Australian Road Atlas
Australians Say G'Day

And just in from Dick Watling in Fiji: Birds of Fiji and Western Polynesia (the brand new version of his Birds of Fiji, Tonga and Samoa) regularly selling for $45 will be on sale through the month of February for only $30.

And through the month on January you'll be able to purchase the following books by Paddy Ryan, with a personalized author's signature, at a discount of $5 on each title:

We've got a plethora of new coffee table books on Australia and New Zealand that haven't yet made it to the website, but we can send you descriptions and they'll be on the website soon, so keep watching. And if we can offer any suggestions or advice for travel downunder, please let us know, we would be glad to help.

Wishing you a very happy and healthy 2002 from Pacific Island Books.

Kathy Ryan
